Bicycling Reviews Women's tekoPoly Sock

EDITORIAL REVIEW See feature here.

In a previous life, these socks may have been a soda bottle. They're 76 percent Ecopoly recycled polyester, which comes from PET plastic and makes for a lightweight, quick-drying fabric. Teko designed the Women's Low especially for female athletes, with a narrow heel and a tapered-and seamless-toe. The light cushioning doesn't feel bulky in cycling shoes but provides enough padding for hike-a-biking or even running. While the cut is low to help you avoid tan lines, a heel tab at the back prevents chafing and makes taking the socks on and off easier. As a bonus, you're supporting American workers as well as the planet: Teko's socks are knitted in North Carolina; the company purchases enough wind power to offset 100 percent of its electricity use. athletes
