June 24, 2009— TEKO, industry leader in sustainable, high performance socks, is having a little fun this year at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2009. The company is pleased to announce that they will be launching a TEKO Sock Monkey Adoption Program with all profits going to LEAVE NO TRACE. Attendees are invited to stop by the TEKO booth (29173w) during the show to “adopt” a limited edition TEKO sock monkey.

“The TEKO sock monkey was first introduced earlier this year at Winter OR to add a bit of fun to the booth,” says Chip Coe, CEO of TEKO. “The response was overwhelming with people asking us to produce the monkeys for sale. Partnering with LEAVE NO TRACE seems like a great way to make the monkeys available, while at the same time, contributing to the protection of the outdoors.”

The TEKO sock monkeys will be available in limited quantities during the show for $20.00. They are handmade in Boulder, CO from signature TEKO-merino™ socks in solids and novelty stripes.
